A Night In With My Girlfriend, the Force and a handful of Vampires

So yeah, I was in the depths of lethargic hell yesterday once more. The stress levels are reaching gastronomical heights which may or may not have been the principle reason for my extreme flatulence yesterday.

Or it may have just been the salmon.

By the time I got back from my 6 hour hell going to the clients place, meeting and discussing and coming back, I was thoroughly shagged out, only to find e-mails asking the most inane changes in my copy.

And then, a ray of light: my girlfriend.

As I lay back and relaxed on my bed, she brought me dinner she cooked herself, brought me a drink, lit my cigarette, comforted me and helped me relax my entire body as Han Solo and Luke paraded around the Death Star dressed as stormtroopers. Good times.

Then, last night, a strange dream.

Those of you who know me know that my dreams are very cinematic, to say the least. One of my dreams even ended with a credit sequence and I didn't wake up until way after the panavision and 20th century fox faded out. I also dream in black and white, for reasons unbeknownst to me. I hear from others that they dream in color. I envy them.

Last nights dream was one of those rare occasions: a feature length film. Whenever I dream a whole film from beginning to end it usually means it's a good nights sleep. Being woken up in the middle of the second act tends to piss me off and leaves me restless for the rest of the day.

I can't remember much of the dream except for key elements: it was in a hotel, and everyone was a vampire. I had a female sidekick/love interest of sorts, and the worst anti-vampire weapons of all time. At one point I was aiming dead center at the bloodsucker, and the arrow turned around and shot me in the back of my shoulder. I had to pull that shit out manually.

It was pretty dark and morbid, but certainly not a nightmare. I just remember thinking, 'what the fuck do these fuckers want with me now?' as I blasted my way away through the living dead.

Fun times.
